A Bit About Me

I’ve realised that while I write about some fairly personal stuff, I haven’t really talked much about myself on this blog. So… I guess this will serve a couple of purposes I’ll introduce a few things about myself, but you can also use it as a place to ask any questions you may have, and I’ll put them together to answer in a later post. (I’m an open book, ask me whatever you want!)

My name is Kristina, but I prefer to go by Kris (with or without the second ‘s’) and I was born on January 12, 1993, in a suburb of Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am about 5’7″ or 170 cm, and my natural hair colour is brown with a hint of auburn.

I’m a big mix of ethnicities, but I am primarily Irish, Scandinavian and First Nations from the Metis Clan.

I’ve always wanted to be a model, but I’ve had eating disorders and problems with my self-esteem, body image and weight for as long as I can remember.

I’ve loved beauty and makeup for as long as I can remember but was never particularly good with fashion. Again, probably due to my weight and not feeling comfortable trying new things.

I love to travel and I’ve spent a lot of time in Mexico City. My dream is to spend some time in Japan, but that will probably never happen because the medication I take is highly illegal there.

I’m fluent in Spanish have a good comprehension of French and a moderate comprehension of Portuguese. I am currently studying Japanese and would also love to learn Korean and Chinese.

I’m stubborn, don’t take well to being wronged, and have a hard time forgiving people. I have seen my mother once in the last five years and will probably never see her again. I prefer to look out for my own best interests.

Am I who you thought I would be? Do you have any other questions for me? Leave them in a comment and I’ll put up an answers post in the new year!
